Engineering Maintenance Planner
£Salary negotiable plus excellent benefits package
Engineering Maintenance Planner for large market leading manufacturing company in Bedfordshire.
The main function of the Engineering Planner will be to schedule required Maintenance issues and breakdowns, all aspects of a component essential for the completed repairs. Key tasks will include further developing the Maintenance schedule (PM strategy) for the Engineering team via the in house CMMS, liaising with other internal departments, updating necessary documentation to production and working with other departments to improve production processes.
Using data analysis and problem solving methodologies to schedule maintenance activities and resources into the manufacturing day in order to maximize plant and equipment effectiveness to achieve optimum life cycle cost of production equipment.
As a Engineering Maintenance Planner, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
•GCSE or equivalent. (A to C qualifications. Math's & English )
or be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate by all means in a coherent and concise manner and accurately complete calculations consistent with the requirements of the role.
•ONC/HNC or equivalent in an engineering related subject.
•IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
Experience for the Engineering Maintenance Planner
•Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications / time served apprenticeship
•Experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation with relevant safety systems, quality standards, housekeeping standards etc.
•Experience of leading a team of engineers, managing workloads, prioritising activities and reviewing work is desirable, .
•Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
•Experience of spares management systems would be an advantage.
•Experience of working with PLCs, servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding
•Some experience of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques eg DMAIC, would be an advantage.
