Electrical Assembly Technician

£Salary negotiable plus benefits and bonus

Working within a small team, the Electrical Assembly Technician will be expected to have a flexible approach in a busy production environment. The workload and type of work will vary between routine production and special / development builds.

Role for the Electrical Assembly Technician

-Perform electronic and electrical tests on sub-assemblies prior to testing completed components
-Loom wiring and use of crimp tools
-PAT testing (desirable)
-Soldering using electrical soldering tools
-Create standard operating procedures and general manufacturing documents including basic schematics
-With the use of electronic schematics, and working closely with mechanical assembly, make up assemblies during development and document to an appropriate level
-Give general electronic / electrical support to sample and final test team when required

The background for the Electrical Assembly Technician would be:

The role requires a technician with experience in a manufacturing with an electronics / electrical background.
The technician should be capable of working from electronic schematics to produce products during development phase

There may also be some element of mechanical assembly work associated with the role.
Computer literate and able to use word or excel to a reasonable level.
