The role

The role

We are recruiting MIG Welders on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Mildenhall, Suffolk. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for experienced welders looking for stability and a long-term role with a reputable employer.

You will be working as part of a skilled production team, carrying out MIG welding on a range of metal components and assemblies. This is a hands-on role where quality, consistency, and attention to detail are paramount. Day shifts only — no unsociable hours.

Main responsibilities

Carry out MIG welding on metal components and assemblies to the required standard
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy
Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively
Work to production targets and timescales
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
Report any defects, issues, or non-conformances to your supervisor

Skills/experience

Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good understanding of welding techniques and material properties
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Good time management and ability to work to production deadlines

Electromechanical Production Technician

Production technician (electromechanical)

Location: Cambridge Job type: Permanent, full time Salary: £35,000 – £37,000, plus benefits

The role

We are recruiting a Production Technician on behalf of a world-leading, independently owned technology business based in Cambridge. Designing and manufacturing advanced systems for defence, security, and industrial.

You will join an established production team working on the electromechanical assembly and test of a variety of high-precision products, from cable assemblies through to full system builds. The role involves manufacture and testing of mechanical, optical, and electronic assemblies, component-level fault finding, and accurate documentation throughout. It suits someone with initiative, strong attention to detail, and a flexible approach to working across a variety of technologies. Main responsibilities

Electromechanical assembly and test of high-precision products, ranging from cable assemblies through to full system builds
Manufacture and testing of mechanical, optical, and electronic assemblies
Component-level fault finding, troubleshooting, and debugging
SMT soldering to 0201 and PCB repair
Wiring and cable and harness assembly
Use of standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs, and signal generators
Reading and interpreting schematic designs
Assembly work within cleanroom environments using appropriate opto-mechanical techniques
Accurate recording and documentation of assembly and test outcomes

Skills/experience

A formal engineering qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Solid understanding of electronic fundamentals
Proven troubleshooting, fault finding, and debugging skills
SMT soldering to 0201 and PCB repair experience
Wiring and cable and harness assembly experience
Proficient in the use of standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs, and signal generators
Ability to read schematic designs
Working knowledge of PCB design software
Basic experience with SolidWorks or another mechanical design software package
Understanding of cleanroom techniques for opto-mechanical assembly
Computer literate with good attention to detail and documentation skills
Basic understanding of analogue and digital video processing (desirable)

The role

We are recruiting an Electronics Repair Technician on behalf of a well-established and innovative technology business based in the Cambridge area. As part of a busy and structured repairs team, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer equipment is repaired to the highest standard — work that users genuinely rely upon.

This role is well suited to someone with a background in a process-driven repair or service environment who takes pride in accurate, methodical work and thrives in a fast-moving team. You will be supported by your manager and wider team, collaborating with other departments to deliver an essential service to a global customer base. Please note that due to the nature of the work undertaken by this team, candidates must be willing to undergo UK SC security clearance. The business will support the successful candidate through this process.

Main responsibilities

Diagnose and confirm customer-reported faults using defined procedures, test equipment, jigs, and fixtures
Perform disassembly and reassembly of products, including replacement of standard components
Conduct inspection and verification of completed repairs
Use required software tools to support the repair and processing of products
Carry out defined hardware modifications in line with work instructions
Record all repair work accurately within the management system
Maintain availability and control of spare parts within your area
Follow all defined processes including health and safety guidelines
Escalate issues or risks promptly to your line manager

Skills/experience

Essential:

Higher level education such as GNVQ, BTEC, or A Levels
Experience in a repair or service environment, following defined procedures
Mechanical assembly and disassembly of products, including PCB level soldering
Ability to use standard test equipment and service tools
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow work instructions accurately
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
Good interpersonal skills and familiarity with MS Office (Excel and Word)

Desirable:

Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
Experience using BGA machinery
IPC inspection certification
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX/365

Salary & working hours

Salary: £27,000 – £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
