Our busy well-established specialist manufacturing business based in the Huntingdon area are looking for a permanent Paint Sprayer Finisher to join their team. The business operates a fully equipped in-house spray finishing facility including a dedicated spray booth and drying room.

This is a hands-on, ownership role where you will take full responsibility for the spray finishing department — preparing products for finishing and applying a range of high-quality finishes to an exceptional standard. 

Main responsibilities for the Paint Sprayer Finisher 

  • Operate and manage the in-house spray finishing department, including the spray booth and drying room
  • Prepare products for the application of spray finishes, including sanding, filling, and priming as required
  • Apply coloured stains, clear lacquers, and wet spray colours to a very high standard using gravity-fed guns and pump equipment
  • Ensure all finished products meet the quality standards expected for high-end bespoke work
  • Order finishing materials and manage stock levels to ensure the department operates without interruption
  • Work collaboratively with the wider production team to ensure products are ready for finishing at the right stage
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment at all times in line with health and safety requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sprayer, Finisher, or in a similar role applying finishes.

· Move plastic pipes and scrap material from the scrap yard to the compounding department using a forklift.

Production Planner

£35,000 plus benefits

Are you an experienced Production Planner looking to join a successful manufacturing business where your organisational skills and attention to detail will make a real difference? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company supplying innovative products to a global customer base.

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in ensuring production schedules run efficiently by coordinating production orders, managing material availability and supporting multiple departments to keep operations moving. This is a permanent position based in Bar Hill, offering an excellent benefits package and genuine opportunities for long-term career development.

Main responsibilities for the Production Planner:

  • Convert planned orders into production orders ready for kitting.
  • Check for material shortages when converting production orders and liaise with Purchasing to resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate shortage records and update tracking spreadsheets.
  • Enter and maintain site commitment dates.
  • Review pick lists and investigate items not picked.
  • Resolve stock discrepancies, BOM and part number issues.
  • Amend production order component lists where required.
  • Liaise with Stores and internal teams to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Monitor and manage production shortage reports.
  • Respond to production-related enquiries.
  • Support Customer Service with order and production queries.
  • Assist with stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve production order variances.
  • Support material transactions and inventory accuracy.

Skills/experience for the Production Planner:

  • Previous experience in a Production Planner or Manufacturing Planner position.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using MRP systems – SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Able to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Proactive and able to work using your own initiative.
  • A team player who is equally comfortable working independently.

Working hours for the Production Planner:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Monday to Thursday with an early finish every Friday.
